So much to catch up on...

Sorry I have not posted for a while. We have been so busy these past 2 weeks. We had two trips!! The children loved our trip to Beamish on 4th March.

We visited the school and compared the Victorian school to our school. Look at the fun we had.

We visited Mrs Patterson's house and did her chores. We made the bed, swept the floor and did all the washing. We even beat the carpets with the carpet beater! Of course the children couldn't stop talking about the chamber pot and the outside toilet!!

On 6th March it was World Book Day and we visited the local library. Winnie the Witch read us so many stories. We had a great day and made some lovely bookmarks using marbling inks and stamps. In the afternoon we wrote thank you letters to Winnie the Witch (AKA the lovely librarian).

And finally... a Meteor landed on our school field last week!!! Look at it!!!

We contacted the University and asked Dr. Eddie and Dr. Vali to come and talk to us about meteors and comets. They even made a comet using dry ice and brought lots of fossils for us to explore.

May I say thank you to all parent's who attended Parent's evening last week. It was lovely to chat to you all. Next week out blog word of the week will be Handa's Surprise.
